Isabelle Lousada is the President and CEO of the Amyloidosis Research Consortium (ARC), a non-profit organization. Isabelle, an amyloidosis patient, established ARC in 2015 to accelerate the development of and access to new and innovative treatments for a group of rare systemic amyloidosis diseases. ARC has become a global leader in the rare disease field, changing the way research is being done by building collaborations across industry, academia, and regulatory to align research strategies, and advance the science and understanding of these diseases. ARC is focused on ensuring the successful approval, adoption and diffusion of valuable new treatments and diagnostic tests.
Isabelle is actively engaged in the rare disease community, serving on a number of boards and committees, and through speaking engagements at key leadership meetings and conferences. Isabelle is a qualified architect and holds a Master’s degree from University College, London.
